Amitava Majumder, Field Biologist & Taxonomist ll Nature & Wildlife visual story teller

Doctorate in Zoology, a field biologist and taxonomist by profession. Born and brought up in a small town of West Bengal. With his interest on rich faunal resources of India, he has explored many protected areas of country since his college days. Soon after his M.Sc. he started his research carrier as a professional field biologist in the year 2012. With his deep interest on animals he was driven to explore the wildest parts of India and surveyed more than 40 protected areas of the country. He has published more than 100 scientific papers, books, chapters and popular articles all together and discovered several new species to science. Jungles, Mountains and open skies always fascinated him. Over time with his research he started to document the stories and behavior of different species for storytelling and visual media, from here his journey as wildlife photographer and film maker started.
