Unbounded Coast
India is having a vast costal habitat spreading through West and Eastcoast. West coast line spreads along the Arabian sea from the Gulf of Kutch to the Malabar coast and Eastcoast line spreads along the Bay of Bengal through the Utkala Kalinga region extends until the eastern most corner of shoreline near the Sunderbans, touching 13 States and Union Territories. Physiological habitats are backwaters and mud flats with low-lying with lagoons, marshes, beaches and deltas rich in mangrove forests (Species from Mangroves are given in Mangroves gallery).
